Volunteer Transportation for Veterans, Volunteer driver van service which, generally, picks veterans up in the morning and returns them home late in the afternoon. Only for medical rides within the VA system.

Northern Maine:
Aroostook Regional Transportation System. Serves Aroostook County, Danforth region, and Sherman, Patten, and Stacyville in Penobscot County.
Highlands:
Community Connector | Bangor, ME - Fixed-route public transportation system serving the communities of Bangor, Brewer, Orono, Old Town, Veazie, and Hampden.
Penquis - Mainecare covered transportation and transportation for those without Mainecare in Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox Counties.
Downeast & Acadia:
Downeast Transportation Home - Hancock County’s public transportation service, offering year-round bus services. Free, seasonal routes are offered with Downeast Transportation through its Island Explorer bus on Mount Desert Island.
West Bus Service - Public bus service from Calais, Machias, Ellsworth, to as far as Bangor.

Western Maine Transportation Services provides safe, reliable, affordable transportation to residents of Androscoggin, Franklin, and Oxford Counties, and in Bath and Brunswick. Southern Maine:
Biddeford Saco Old Orchard Beach Transit | BSOOB Transit - Public transportation serving Biddeford, Saco, and Old Orchard Beach offering fixed route and microtransit service.
York County Community Transportation. up to one medical trip/month (to appointments from Portland and Portsmouth); unlimited cancer care rides and rides for Veterans.
Greater Portland Area:
Regional Transportation Program . Serves Cumberland County, shared ride service, requires riders to book in advance.
Maine Association of New Americans. Must be clients of the program. Rides anywhere within 1 hour and 15 minutes of Portland
