Welcome to our newest communities!
Age-Friendly Monmouth is the first community to join the AARP Network in 2024. The all-volunteer team brings together a diverse array of partners and people in the community who know how to get stuff done!
The town of York joined the AARP Network of Age-friendly States and Communities in November, 2023. The work is coordinated by the Richmond Senior Center, building on the many partnerships developed by York Community Services Association and Executive Director, Michelle Surdoval.
Richmond has been on the lifelong community path for many years. This year, the Select Board made their commitment to creating a community where all ages thrive by joining the Network. The work is led by Laurie Saunders, Director of the Richmond Senior Center.
In December, Buxton joined the AARP Network. The all-volunteer commitee is co-facilitated by Ellen Decotiis and Terri Morin. Elected officials in Buxton saw that Age-Friendly benefits everyone and are giving their full support to Team Buxton.
We are excited to see where their lifelong community journey takes them!
